Jacksonville State Notes
The Gamecocks fall to 8-6 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, with their three of their last four NCAA Tournament losses coming to the Crimson Tide.
JSU had a four-game winning streak vs. the Southeastern Conference snapped in Friday's game. JSU defeated Ole Miss twice in April before downing Tennessee twice in the Knoxville Regional.
The nine runs allowed by senior Karla Pittman were a career high, as were the seven earned runs surrendered in the game.
The loss marked just the fourth time that JSU has been shut out this season. Two of those four have now come against the Crimson Tide (9-0 on Feb. 8 in Mobile, Ala.)
