"Each camper will come away from their experience at the Anthony Grant Basketball Camp with a better understanding of basketball fundamentals, improved individual skills and the understanding of the team concept," said Grant.
The camp slate tips off on June 15-18 with the day camp for ages 5-13. The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and is designed to teach the basic rules and fundamentals of the game through participation in various basketball activities. Cost for the day camp is $150.
From June 21-24, Grant will host an individual camp for campers ages 9 through high schoolers. The camp will focus on improving fundamentals such as ball handling, passing, shooting, team play and defense. Cost of the individual camp is $345 for those boarding on campus and $285 for those commuting to camp.
The first of Grant's two team camps will go from June 19-21 with the second going from June 26-28. In addition to instruction, each team is guaranteed eight games. More than 200 high school teams from Alabama and across the Southeast have attended team camps at UA in the past, using the intensive, three-day experience as the foundation for a successful season.
