
Alabama Men's Basketball Hands Out Awards at Postseason Banquet

The University of Alabama men's basketball team was recognized and honored for its efforts during the 2008-09 season at its annual awards banquet Tuesday evening at the Bryant Conference Center on campus.
The Crimson Tide was joined by the Tuscaloosa Tip-Off Club, which sponsored the event, and members of the University community. Following dinner, former interim head coach Philip Pearson spoke briefly and gave thanks to those whose support ensures on-court success for the Tide. Pearson was applauded with multiple standing ovations in recognition of his 16 years of service to Alabama as a student-athlete and coach and for guiding the team through a tumultuous 2008-09 season with upstanding grace.
Pearson was joined by the rest of the 2008-09 coaching staff in presenting individual awards before the evening concluded with a highlight video documenting the 2008-09 season. A complete list of award winners follows.
