
Spring Soccer to be Broadcasted Live in Orange Beach

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama soccer team will continue its spring soccer slate with two games this weekend in Orange Beach. Both games will be broadcasted on the internet live at www.ustream.tv. The Crimson Tide will open the weekend against West Florida on Friday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. and then close out its spring slate against Southern Miss on Sunday, April 19.
Alabama has posted a perfect 3-0 record thus far. The Crimson Tide opened its spring season with a 3-0 victory over North Alabama. Brooke Rogers, an All-SEC second team selection scored twice while Victoria Frederick added one. |
The Crimson Tide then downed the Samford Bulldogs 2-1, coming from a 1-0 deficit on the strength of goals by Kelsey King and Rogers. In its last time out Alabama blanked UAB 2-0. Frederick and Rogers once again combined to find the back of the net to lead the Tide offensively.
Rogers has paced Alabama up front with four goals, scoring in each contest. Frederick has added two goals while Justine Bernier has returned to play the majority of the minutes between the pipes. Bernier, who missed the fall season due to international duty with the U-20 Canadian national team has allowed one goal in her three starts.
