TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama head coach Jim Wells announced today that the Crimson Tide has added a game to its 2009 baseball schedule and will now play a three-game series with Alabama A&M this week in Tuscaloosa.
The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs will play its regularly scheduled nine-inning game on Tuesday, March 17, at 6:35 p.m. The two teams will now play a double header on Wednesday, March 18, at 12:05 p.m. (CST). The double header will consist of two, seven-inning games.
Alabama will now play six games this week, including its SEC road series against Mississippi this weekend in Oxford, Miss.
The addition of the game on Wednesday makes up for one of the two rainouts against Illinois-Chicago earlier this season. The Crimson Tide still plans to add one more game at a later date to reach its NCAA-allotted 56-game schedule this season.
