Baseball Camps Make Perfect Stocking Stuffers

TUSCALOOSA, Ala - The Alabama baseball coaching staff will conduct a two-day Christmas Camp on December 28-29, 2009, at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
The two-day camp is open to all players from grades 1-12 and offers instruction in hitting, pitching and fielding. The camp is available to commuters as well as overnight campers.
In addition, the Alabama coaching staff will also be offering a series of camps in the month of January to assist players with preparation for the upcoming season.
The first camp is a four-week hitting preseason hitting camp on Mondays, beginning Jan. 11, 2010. The camp is open to all students from 9th through 12th grade and will provide hitting instruction as players prepare for the upcoming season. The cost is $220 per person and open to the first 30 applicants.
The staff will host a half-day pitcher and catcher camp on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on the UA campus. The camp, which will focus on the specifics of pitcher and catcher mechanics, is open to all players from 8th through 12th grade. The cost is $80 per person.
The final preseason camp is the Bama Youth Camp on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp will cover all the fundamentals of baseball and is open to players from kindergarten through sixth grade. The cost $110 per person.
