
Rogers Named to SEC Soccer Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama junior forward Brooke Rogers was named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service team as announced by the league office. The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 20 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Rogers has been an active volunteer in her three seasons at Alabama. In 2009 she participated in the Together We Can SEC Food Drive; YMCA Soccer Camp; Read Across America; and the Girl Scouts of Tuscaloosa Clinic.
In 2008 she volunteered with Southview Elementary; Tuscaloosa Soup Bowl; Read Across America; Project Angel Tree; YMCA Camp; Together We Can SEC Food Drive; and Youth Soccer.
As a freshman in 2007 she spent time as a volunteer at Arcadia Elementary; YMCA Camp and the Canned Food Drive.
On the field Rogers finished the 2009 campaign with four points on two goals. She led the team with 29 shots and her two tallies were tied for third on the team.
