Tyler White Strikes Out CPL Hitters

University of Alabama redshirt freshman right hander Tyler White posted some phenomenal strikeout numbers in the wooden bat Coastal Plain League this summer.
Playing for the Wilmington (N.C.) Sharks, White led the team with 55 strikeouts and 15.15 strikeouts per nine innings. He was 0-3 with three saves and 2.48 ERA in 13 appearances this summer in the CPL. White worked 32 2/3 innings and allowed nine earned runs, 12 hits and 22 walks. In his lone start of the season, he threw six no-hit innings and allowed one unearned run with seven strikeouts en route to a no decision on July 30.
White redshirted at Alabama during the 2008 season.
