
Men's Track Concludes Season at NCAA National Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Alabama men's track and field team completed its season Friday evening at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Alabama concluded its year with Augustus Maiyo and Emmanuel Bor running in their respective final events at Drake Stadium.
Maiyo completed his outdoor career for the Crimson Tide in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a ninth place finish, just missing All-American honors. Maiyo crossed the line in a time of 8:43.52.
Bor was the last participant for Alabama and competed in the last event of the day in the 5000 meters. The sophomore who was had raced to as high as fourth place with 800 meters to go finished 11th overall with a time of 13:53.39.
Alabama has three athletes reach the NCAA Championships and all three made the finals in their respective events. Junior Tyson David earned All-American honors with a third place finish in the 10,000 meters yesterday.
