Women?s Tennis Takes on Oklahoma Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama women's tennis team travels to Oklahoma City, Okla. this weekend to take on the University of Oklahoma Sooners. The match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and will take place at The Greens Golf and Country Club.
Alabama, 3-4 overall, heads into the match on a one game winning streak after defeating Georgia State by a 6-1 decision.
Oklahoma, 4-2 overall, fell to No. 34 Wichita State last weekend, 5-2. The Sooners are led by freshman Ana-Maria Constantinescu. Ranked No. 99 in the ITA polls, Constantinescu is undefeated in dual matches and will face Alabama freshman Tiffany Welcher at the No. 1 singles slot. Welcher has already defeated two ranked opponents this year.
The Crimson Tide defeated the Sooners last season by a 4-3 decision at the UA Varsity Courts. The win tied the series with Oklahoma 2-2.
