
Men's Basketball Falls to Tennessee, 93-86

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ?? The Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide, 93-88, in Southeastern Conference men’s basketball action Tuesday night before a crowd of 11,891 at Coleman Coliseum on the University of Alabama campus. Alabama junior Alonzo Gee scored 27 points to lead all scorers while junior Richard Hendrix added 20 points and a game-leading 12 rebounds to the Tide’s effort. Senior Chris Lofton led Tennessee with 23 points while senior JaJuan Smith scored 22 for the Vols.
With the result, Alabama falls to 12-9 on the season, 1-5 in SEC play, while Tennessee improves to 18-2 overall, 5-1 in the SEC. Alabama returns to action this Saturday afternoon, February 2, against LSU at Coleman Coliseum. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be televised regionally by Raycom Sports.
