
Bama Women?s Tennis Opens Fall Season at Milwaukee Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama women's tennis team heads to Milwaukee, Wisc. this weekend to participate in the Milwaukee Classic hosted by the University of Maquette.
"The team is excited about competing in our first fall event in Milwaukee, Wisc. this weekend," said Alabama head coach Jenny Mainz. "We will have the opportunity to evaluate the team and begin identifying doubles combinations.
Alabama is joined by host Marquette, Texas A&M and Wisconsin. Members of the participating teams will play a guaranteed three singles matches and three doubles matches over a three day period. The tournament is held at the Western Racquet Club in Elm Grove, Wisc. and matches are slated to begin at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
"We need a lot of quality match play in order to advance," said Mainz. "We will get a look at several teams from different regions in Marquette, Texas A&M and Wisconsin that will help us in the future. It should be a great tournament."

The Crimson Tide returns to the Capstone next weekend to play host to the Roberta Alison Fall Classic September 28-30 at the UA Varsity Tennis Courts.
