Made 25 relief appearances and posted a 2-2 record with six saves and a 3.37 ERA ... worked 34.2 innings and allowed 13 earned runs and 21 hits with 24 walks and 27 strikeouts ... earned his first collegiate save with two scoreless innings against Jacksonville State on March 21 ... picked up his first career win with two scoreless innings against UNC-Asheville on March 25 ... notched his second win at Coastal Carolina on April 14, allowing only two earned runs (2.25 ERA) over his final seven outings (8 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3 SV) ... in two seasons at BSC he appeared in 34 games, compiling a 2-4 record with six saves and a 3.98 ERA, working 40.2 innings, allowing 18 earned runs, 27 hits and 28 walks while striking out 32 ... left BSC when the school dropped to Division III status following the 2006 season ... pitched for the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the Northwoods League in the summer of 2006 ... made 21 appearances for Wisconsin ... started five games and posted a 2-3 record with five saves and 4.47 ERA ... worked 46.1 innings and allowed 23 earned runs and 47 hits with 32 walks and 46 strikeouts.

A 2004 graduate of Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham and was a four-year starter for Coach Tommy Youngblood ... Oak Mountain posted a 77-27 (.740) during his four-year career ... went 27-6 (.818) with five saves during his career AT Oak Mountain ... set a school record with 20 career pickoffs ... as a senior, he was 9-3 with two saves and a 1.70 ERA ... also recorded 100 strikeouts ... a Birmingham News Honorable Mention All-State selection in both 2003 and 2004.
