A veteran outfielder who will battle for a starting job in the outfield ... had a tremendous fall practice ... has great speed and is an excellent gap hitter with power ... has seen limited action during first two years at Alabama ... has appeared in 38 career games and has 23 at-bats over the last two seasons ... spent the summer of 2007 with the Front Royal (Va.) Cardinals in the Valley League ... started 43 games ... hit .258 (42-for-163) with two home runs and 25 RBI ... led the team with 11 sacrifice bunts and had two stolen bases and seven doubles ... compiled a .344 slugging percentage and a .370 on-base mark.

A 2005 graduate of Vestavia Hills High School where he was a three-year starter for Coach Sammy Dunn and Coach Dal Davis ... hit .424 with four home runs and 25 RBI as a senior ... was a First-Team Class 6A All-State selection by The Birmingham News ... also tabbed a First-Team All-State by the Alabama Sports Writers Association ... led his team to back-to-back area championships and consecutive state playoff berths ... was selected to the 2004 All-Over the Mountain Baseball squad ... played in the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic ... named an ABCA Super 100 selection in 2003 and 2004.
