- Three-time U.S. Amateur participant (2004, 2005, 2006), UA’s first three-time qualifier
- Finished tied for sixth at both the 2006 and 2007 Southern Amateur, shooting 67-71-70-71/279, -1 in 2007 and 71-69-71-70/281, -3 in 2006; he tied with his UA teammate Mark Harrell for 6th in 2006
