- 2007 U.S. Open participant, just missing the cut by one stroke and exiting in the same scoring group with the then No. 2 ranked professional golfer, Phil Mickelson
- Shot 75-76/151 at the 2007 U.S. Open at Oakmont (Pa.); his caddy was Tide teammate Mark Hughes
- Finished 1st in stroke play at 2007 U.S. Amateur Pub Links (69-70/139), winning by two strokes; played in 2006 U.S. Amateur Pub Links as well
- Finished T-11th at 7-under at 2007 Southern Amateur (70-69-69-73/281) and T-6th (with UA teammate Matthew Swan) at 2006 Southern Amateur (3-under, 70-74-68-69/281)
