- Golfweek ranked him No. 32 among the Class of 2007 recruits

- Played at Tuscaloosa Academy in 2003, winning the individual state championship and helping his team win the state’s team championship
- Transferred to Northridge High in 2004
- Won the state individual title in 2005 and his Northridge team finished 2nd
- One of 12 golfers nationally to be named Hewitt Packard Scholastic Junior All-American in 2006
- Tuscaloosa News’ 2005, 2006 and 2007 High School Golf MVP
- Shot 74-66-68/208 at the 2005 Press Thorton Future Masters
