Full name is Richard Darby Todd; nickname “Gator”
A pre-business major at Alabama
Began competing in golf at age 14
His father, Richard Todd, was quarterback at Alabama, lettering in 1973-74-75 and played in the NFL, drafted as the sixth pick of the 1st round by the New York Jets in 1975; his cousin, John Dill, plays on UA’s basketball team (his uncle Johnny Dill played hoops at UA as well)
His father and Jerry Pate have been good friends since going to school together at UA
Has a younger brother, Jimmy, and a sister, Darbi Lou
Parents are Richard and Lulu Todd
