SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. ?? The three University of Alabama golfers competing in the 2007 U.S. Amateur have now all completed first round play.

Mark Harrell, who was among the first tee times of the round Monday, had finished his. Now that all the scores are in, Harrell’s 74, which is 4-over, placed him among a tie at 91st. A stroke behind him and among a tie at 120th was his Alabama teammate, Michael Thompson who shot 5-over, 75. And Matt Hughes is among a tie at 292nd after shooting 13-over par, 83.
Immediately following the first round’s completion, the field began the second and final round of stroke play Tuesday. The top 64 scores advance to match play.
