
Bama Volleyball to Hold Crimson/White Scrimmage Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama volleyball team will hold its annual Crimson/White scrimmage Saturday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. The scrimmage marks the first time the Tide will compete in the Coleman Auxiliary Volleyball Extension (CAVE) this season.
Alabama head coach Judy Green will introduce the 2007 squad and talk about the upcoming season before the match. The Tide will divide into two squads for the scrimmage and then the two teams will compete in a match-like format. Depending on time constraints the team will either play two or three games in the match. The scrimmage is open to the public and admission is free.
The Crimson Tide kicks off the 2007 home schedule with the Academy Sports Bama Bash. The tournament begins Friday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. Alabama plays its first match of the day at 12:30 p.m. against UAB, followed by a 7:00 p.m. match against Sacramento State. All matches for the Bama Bash are played in the CAVE and admission is $3 per match for adults 18 and up. All University of Alabama students are free.
