From bumps to bruises to more serious injuries, Alabama student athletes are under the constand care and watchful eye of the department’s certified athletic trainers. Johanna “Joey” Beeghly is in her first season with the Crimson Tide volleyball squad as the graduate student trainer. Beeghly, a 2007 graduate of Alderson-Braduddus College in Philippi, West Virginia, works exclusively with Tide volleyball while pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Promotion. Prior to her arrival to the Capstone, Beeghly was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball and basketball at Alderson-Broaddus. She also worked as an athletic trainer for numerous of the school’s mens and women’s teams.
