Tuscaloosa, Ala, - The Crimson Tide (16-8) defeated visiting Mississippi Valley State (8-17) in front of 4,359 fans Wednesday evening at Sewell- Thomas Stadium, 3-1
The Tide scored in the first inning for the fourth consecutive game when it they struck for three runs, led by a Kent Matthes solo home run.
The Tide will return to Southeastern Conference play this weekend at Ole Miss.
