
Freshman Diver Aaron Fleshner Medals off Three-Meter Board

LEXINGTON, Ky. ?? University of Alabama freshman Aaron Fleshner scored 390.05 points in the finals of the three-meter diving competition during day-two of the Southeastern Conference Swimming and Diving Championships to take third place and move the Crimson Tide up into fifth place in the team race being held in Lexington, Ky. this week.
Fleshner, who finished just five points out of second place off the three-meter, competes on the platform on Sunday. So far he has scored 25 points toward Alabama’s team total after finishing ninth on Friday off the one-meter board.
Tide freshmen Tim Cline scored 244.50 points in the prelims of the three-meter competition to finish 17th while fellow rookie Chris McCormick took 19th with 230.65 points.
On the women’s side of the slate, freshman Elizabeth Hughes took 17th place off the one-meter board with 220.10 while senior Karissa Tuthill was 21st with 200.65 points.
The diving portion of the SEC Championships concludes on Sunday with the platform competition. The swimming portion of the competition gets underway Wednesday.
