CLEMSON, S.C.- University of Alabama freshman Lauren Martin will chronicle the Crimson Tide's journey through the rounds of the NCAA tournament. Martin, a setter from Sebastopol, Calif., made her first trip to the NCAA tournament with the Tide this season.
Thursday, November 29: "We woke up around 9:30 a.m. to eat a nice continental breakfast in our hotel lobby, which was a nice spread of assorted bagels, oatmeal, cereal and waffles. Then we left for some team shopping around 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Mall. It was quite a nice shopping experience. Mary Catherine and I bought some lovely beauty supplies (bright pink nail polish).
After the mall, we departed for Jervey gym for our first official practice at the NCAA tournament. We had a great practice, everyone was intense and focused for tomorrow's match. After practice we checked into our new hotel and everyone go cleaned up for dinner.
Later that night, the team, coaches, staff and everyone else on the trip had a great meal at Texas Roadhouse. Everyone had a good time and the food was awesome. After coach Green returned from the NCAA meeting, the team and coaches met in Coach Green's room for a scouting session on Clemson. Everyone left the scouting session feeling prepared and ready to face Clemson in the first round."
