TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ?? The University of Alabama begins its final week of fall baseball practice this afternoon, with the first of three consecutive scrimmages at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
The Crimson Tide will scrimmage today and Thursday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. (CDT). Alabama will also hold its final scrimmage of the week Friday, Nov. 2 at 5:15 p.m. (CDT), prior to the Alabama-LSU football game this weekend.
On Friday, the gates will open at 4 p.m. with the 10-inning scrimmage is set to begin at 5:15 p.m. The scrimmage will take on a game-like atmosphere with music, scoreboard and video board.
“We had a good crowd before the Tennessee game, so we wanted to have one more night scrimmage before a big football game,” Alabama coach Jim Wells said. “It was a great atmosphere two weeks ago and we are hoping for the same this weekend.”
Alabama will wrap up fall practice Wednesday, Nov. 8. The Crimson Tide will hold its final three scrimmages next week (Nov. 6-8) at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
