“We are thrilled to have Michael join our team. Though he can’t compete until spring of ’08 he will make tremendous contributions to our squad in the future. He has a well-rounded game and adds experience and unparalleled character to our team. During his first year we will work on various aspects of his game and look forward to him playing for us next season.”

Fall 2006:
- Did not compete this past fall
Collegiate Highlights at Arkansas:
Sophomore Season (2005-06):
- One of five Arkansas players to record over 20 singles victories, finishing with a 23-8 record
- Posted a 9-6 dual record with seven wins at the No. 6 position
- Earned a three-set victory over No. 97 Andy Connelly of Tulsa for his 20th win of the season
- Started the spring season with four straight victories and seven wins in his first nine singles matches
- Recorded an outstanding fall season with a 14-2 singles record, winning 13 of his last 14 matches
- Won his first collegiate title in the fall with five victories to take the flight championship at the South Carolina Invitational
Freshman Season (2004-05):
- Finished his freshman season with an 11-11 record and 4-5 mark in the SEC playing primarily in the bottom half of the lineup
- Notched back-to-back victories against two ranked SEC squads, No. 40 Vanderbilt and No. 30 Kentucky
- Teamed with Andrei Nicoara to go 3-4 in doubles, including a 3-3 SEC record
- One of his doubles victories came in a match against his brother Joseph
- Played in four fall tournaments, posting a 5-3 singles record, including three victories at the Navy Invitational
Prep Highlights:
- Attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
- Three-year letterwinner in tennis
- Career record of 47-1 in singles and 26-2 in doubles
