
Gymnastics Freshman Ranked No. 1 on Floor Exercise

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ?? The Alabama Gymnastics team is No. 4 in the first national rankings of the 2007 season and will face No. 1 ranked Florida on Friday in Gainesville, Fla.
The rankings are determined by season average through the first six weeks of the season. The Crimson Tide was also No. 4 in the preseason coaches’ poll. Alabama is No. 1 on the floor exercise after posting a 49.45 in its opening meet against Oklahoma and third on both the balance beam and vault.
Freshman Morgan Dennis is ranked No. 1 on the floor exercise while freshman Kassi Price is third. Freshman Ricki Lebegern, sophomore Ashley O’Neal and senior Erin Rightley are all tied for 11th on the floor.
Junior Terin Humphrey is third on the uneven bars and 20th on the balance beam. Price is ranked fourth in the all-around after posting a meet-best 39.375 against Oklahoma. She is also 17th on the uneven bars. Price and Lebegern are tied for 15th on the vault.
The Tide faces Florida at 7 p.m. ET at the O’Connell Center on Friday before returning home for the 2007 Drive 4 the Cause meet against Auburn Friday, Jan. 26.
