After a redshirt season in 2006, Hyatt had an excellent summer and is poised to make his mark as a middle reliever with the Crimson Tide this season.
SUMMER (2006):
- Hyatt pitched for the Amsterdam Mohawks in the New York Collegiate Baseball League
- He complied a 2-1 record and 2.23 ERA in seven overall appearances, including five starts
- He worked 32 1/3 innings and allowed 24 hits, 10 runs and eight earned runs, with 18 walks and 41 strikeouts
- Hyatt held summer league opponents to a .212 batting average and yielded only six extra base hits
- For his efforts, Hyatt was a Second-Team All-NYCBL selection
SOPHOMORE (2006):

FRESHMAN (2005):
- Hyatt pitched in only two games during his rookie year
- He made his Crimson Tide debut against Butler on March 16 and allowed one run and three hits, with one strikeout, in two innings
- Hyatt also logged one inning against Mississippi Valley State on April 20 and allowed three runs and two hits
PREP:
- A three-year starter at Marietta High School for coach Josh Gazaway
- Played on two state playoff teams at Marietta High School
- He posted a 5-1 record and 2.00 ERA as a prep senior and added 66 strikeouts in 46 innings
- At the plate, he batted .447 with six home runs and 30 RBI
- Hyatt set school records for hitting, total hits and doubles and tied the single-season mark for home runs
- Named the Cobb County Player of the Year by the Atlanta Journal Constitution
- First-Team All-State selection by the Marietta Daily Journal
- First-Team All-State selection by the Georgia Dugout Club
- Named Marietta High School Most Valuable Player
- He was drafted in the 32nd round of the June 2004 MLB draft by the Atlanta Braves
