Rated 71st in Baseball America’s Top 75 High School prospects in 2005
Also rated as the 36th best prospect at the 2005 Perfect Game Showcase
Evans led his team to a 14-9 overall record, including 8-5 league mark, during the 2006 season
As a junior, Evans went 3-1 on the mound and batted .425 with two home runs despite missing three-quarters of the season with an injury
He was the winning pitcher in the district finals that allowed Chamberlain to advance to the district playoffs
Evans was also the starting pitcher in the championship game at the 2005 Saldino Tournament played in Tampa
He was 5-3 as a sophomore and named to the All-Hillsborough County team
