TUSCALOOSA ?? The Crimson Tide volleyball team continued its preseason schedule on Friday afternoon with two practices slated for the day. Alabama will host its annual preseason scrimmage in the CAVE on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
“I thought we had a pretty slow start to our morning practice,” Green said. “However the last hour of practice was very productive and I felt like we improved. Positive play came today from Crystal Hudson, Rachael Green and Jennifer Weber. All three of these players were very consistent in their execution. I am seeing improvements in all of the players, but these three really stood out in the morning session.”
Players have been competing in two-a-day practices since the beginning of fall camp nearly two weeks ago, and will continue to do so until the beginning of fall classes at UA on Wednesday, August 23.
“We needed to grind through a tough practice and we did,” Green said. “I feel sure we are going to play some long grueling matches this season and we want to be prepared to play for as long as it takes to be successful.”
The Tide will open its season a week from today when the Academy Sports Invitational begins.
