TUSCALOOSA -- The Crimson Tide volleyball team is continuing their hard work at preseason camp. The squad has been going through two-a-day practices for the past week and will continue to do so until the fall semester begins on Aug. 23.
After earning its first-ever NCAA Tournament bid last season, head coach Judy Green will return five starters from a season ago, including second team All-SEC outside hitter Bridget Fuentez.
“I think we are making really good progress in practice,” Green said. “I have been pleased with how our team passing and team offense is coming along. Usually that lags behind the defense in preseason work. I think that we have had outstanding physical effort for every practice and we are continuing to learn how to be mentally prepared for our grueling double days.”
The Tide will host its annual preseason scrimmage in the CAVE on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 1:30 p.m.
