2006 (Freshman): Played two snaps in the season opener against Hawai’i and one snap at Tennessee. He had a career-high five snaps against Florida International.
Prep: Led his team to a No. 16 national ranking and two straight division championships. He helped guide Northwest Rankin High School to a 22-3 record over his junior and senior seasons. As a senior he was named to the All-State team, All-Metro first team and All-Rankin first team after catching 42 passes for 821 yards and seven touchdowns. Named best defensive player for basketball as a sophomore and junior. He was selected to play in the All-American game. He has a 41-inch vertical leap.
Personal: Son of Henry and Linda McCoy. Born 6-16-87. Has two brothers, Kendrick and Tyson.
