2006 (Freshman): Johnson played a total of 183 snaps in 13 games with a season-high 25 plays against Louisiana Monroe. He played 10 or more snaps in all 13 games and had two contests with 20 or more plays. He recorded two tackles against both Duke and Tennessee. He finished the year with seven tackles.
Prep: As a senior at Booker High School he led his team to a 13-2 record with five interceptions, 15 pass breakups and 39 solo tackles. Selected to play in the Florida Bowl. Named first team All-State at cornerback and on special teams. He averaged 37.6 yards per punt return as a junior. He was a three-sport star, also winning the state basketball championship as a senior and competed at the state track and field championships in the triple jump.
Personal: Son of George Johnson and Victoria Edwards. Has two sisters, Skyya and Ieashia. Born 5-18-88. Father, George, played for the Philadelphia Eagles and in the CFL. He won back-to-back National Vocal Jazz Ensembles in high school.
