Mallory Places Sixth at the US National Championships

Former Tide All-America Beth Mallory competed in the discus this past weekend at the US Outdoor Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. trying to earn a spot on the United States world championship squad.
The Ashland, Ohio native posted a sixth place finish in the event with a throw of 181’1” in the event.
Mallory was the 2005 NCAA discus champion and two weeks ago finished in second place at the NCAA championships, just 15 inches shy of repeating as the champion.
