Fedler Named Academic All-District

Alabama track and field runner Jeff Fedler was recognized Thursday for his work in the classroom by being named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District IV first team.
Fedler is a standout for the Crimson Tide in the classroom, carrying a 3.92 GPA in marketing. The Mt. Pleasant, Iowa native also is an academic All-SEC as well as the recipient of the university’s Excellence in Marketing award.
On the track, Fedler led Alabama to their eighth straight Alabama Relays crown this year. He also posted a fifth place finish in the 1,500m run at the Ole Miss Invitational and had a season best 1:52.42 in the 800m run at the Stanford Invitational.
Since Fedler was named to the first team in District IV, he is eligible to selected to the Academic All-America team.
