
Siwemuke Named SEC Runner of the Week

For his efforts at the Jesse Owens Classic this past weekend, Alabama senior hurdler Marcus Siwemuke has been named SEC Runner of the Week.
Siwemuke placed third with a time of 14.63 in the 110m hurdles in Columbus, Ohio but was the highest placing collegian.
The Sierra Vista, Ariz. native has had a career year for the Tide. Siwemuke has already qualified regionally in the 110m hurdles with a first place finish at the UTEP Invitational in April with a personal best 14.15.
He also helped the Tide to a first place finish in 110m shuttle hurdle relay at the 2006 Alabama Relays.
The honor is the first of the year for the Alabama men’s track team.
