TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama Athletics Director Mal Moore announced a pair of upcoming staffting changes today.
"In the very near future, we are going to make some moves within our staff that will help enhance this department in a number of areas," Moore said. "Larry White, our Associate Athletics Director for Media Relations and Tommy Ford, Director of our TIDE PRIDE donor program will be undertaking new positions that have been created to address specific areas of need within this department."
White, who is in his 20th year at the Capstone, will be working closely with the athletics department's media rights holder, Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, to enhance corporate relationships. He will also be active in the area of ticket sales for all sports, especially corporate sales.
Ford has been with Alabama since 1982, serving as the Tide's ticket manager from 1987 to 1993, when he moved to TIDE PRIDE. The Alabama graduate will move to the Tide's advancement department, where he will be responsible for stewardship of the Tide's donors.
"As we near completion of our building campaign, Tommy's knowledge of our donors and his ability to build relationships will be important as we work toward fulfilling the promise of the Crimson Tradition Fund," Moore said.
"Both men are veterans of this department and I feel are well suited for the challenges I have laid before them," Moore said. "Just as we have strengthened our facilities over the past two years through our building and renovations, I feel that these moves will strengthen our department and give special attention to areas we feel are vital to Alabama Athletics."
