Ole Miss Sweeps Arkansas, Advances to Semifinals

TUSCALOOSA ?? Third-seeded Ole Miss advanced to the semifinals of the 2006 SEC Tennis Championships Friday morning with a 4-0 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
“I think we played a good match,” Ole Miss head coach Billy Chadwick said. “We did a good job of sticking to our game plan and not getting rattled. We were able to get the doubles point and I think that took a little wind out of (Arkansas).”
Ole Miss claimed the first two doubles matches off the court and then rolled to three straight-set wins in singles to clinch the win. Jakob Klaeson picked up a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles for the Rebels to ice the victory.
“We were great in our first sets,” Chadwick said. “We were competitive at every position, especially No. 1 and No. 4.”
Erling Tveit and Juan Pablo Di Cesare each won easily at No. 1 and No. 4 respectivley.
Ole Miss will now take on Florida at 2 p.m. in Saturday’s semifinal round.
