
Men?s Track & Field Adds One For 2007

The Alabama men’s track and field team picked up their second pole vaulter in as many days as Michael Hughes from Atlanta, Ga. will join the Tide for the 2007 season.
“Michael is a promising athlete,” Alabama head coach Harvey Glance said. “We understand that we need the kind of athlete to make sure our program is solid for years to come. Michael is that kind of athlete.”
Hughes, who attends Greater Atlanta Christian, has been a star in the classroom as well as the track. He is a National Merit Finalist and has accepted a Presidential Scholarship from Alabama.
On the track, he has cleared 15’2” in the pole vault. Michael will compete in both the pole vault and the decathlon at the Capstone.
