Davidson and Steele Named NABC All-District

TUSCALOOSA – The National Association of Basketball Coaches has announced its all-district teams, and two University of Alabama basketball players are among the award winners.
Junior center Jermareo Davidson was voted first team and sophomore point guard Ronald Steele was named second team All-District 6. The first team includes Florida’s Taureen Green, Miami’s Guillermo Diaz and Robert Hite and Florida’s State’s Al Thorton, along with Davidson. The second team includes Steele, Florida’s Corey Brewer, Joakim Noah and Al Horford as well as Ole Miss’s Dwayne Curtis.
The teams are selected and voted upon by member coaches of the NABC and include 150 student-athletes from 15 districts. Those nominated are eligible for the NABC’s All-American teams which are announced at the end of the season.
