Tide to Host No. 5 Tennessee on Sunday

GAME NOTES
TUSCALOOSA ?? The Alabama women's basketball team will look to extend its modest one-game win streak on Sunday afternoon against No. 5 Tennessee. The Crimson Tide and Lady Vols will square off at noon central in a game that will be televised on Comcast Sports Southeast in Coleman Coliseum. Gary Harris will provide commentary for the network.
Alabama (9-15, 3-8) enters the game after a thrilling win over Mississippi State in Starkville on Sunday, Feb. 12. The last-second win was provided by Lauren Hill, whose tip-in off of a Navonda Moore miss with just over four seconds left to play. The victory snapped a 23-game losing streak to SEC teams on the road for Alabama that lasted for more than three years.
Tennessee (23-3, 9-2) will come into the game ranked fifth in both polls. UT earned a come-from-behind win over Georgia in Athens on Thursday night. Candace Parker followed up a miss with a lay-up with seven seconds to play to provide the winning margin for the Lady Vols.
Along with the action on the court, UA students will be able to win an Ipod Nano or a Playstation 2 at the game. All Alabama students will be given a raffle ticket upon entering the game with the winners being drawn at halftime.
The Crimson Tide will play its final home game of the season on Thursday, Feb. 23, when Alabama will welcome highly-ranked LSU into Coleman Coliseum. The LSU contest is slated to tip at 7 p.m.
