Sumter County won back-to-back state championships his junior and senior year
Advanced to the state championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005
All-Scholastics Sports Team
Scholar Athlete of the Year official candidate by U.S. Army
MVP of junior varsity team his sophomore year
Coached by Johnny Patrick and Alonzo Sledge for the Wildcats
Also played baseball where he was named “Best Offensive Player,” football and track (finished 5th in the state in the 100-meter dash)

Graduated 4th in his class at Sumter County High School
Has four younger brothers (Jermary, Martez, Javier, Dandre) and an older sister, Chelsea
