Tyler Odle, who was an all-state performer last year at Vestavia Hills High School, will battle for playing time in the Crimson Tide outfield this spring.
PREP:
- A 2005 graduate of Vestavia Hills High School, where he was a three-year starter for the late Sammy Dunn and Dal Davis
- As a prep senior, Odle batted .424 with with two home runs and 25 RBI
- He was named to the Birmingham News Class 6A All-State Baseball squad
- Odle was also tabbed Class 6A All-State performer by the Alabama Sports Writer’s Association
- Led his team to back-to-back Class 6A Area Championship and state playoff berths in 2004-05
- Selected to the 2004 All-Over the Mountain Baseball squad
- Also played in the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic
- ABCA Super 100 selection (2003-04)
