Tommy Hunter emerged as one of the Crimson Tide’s top pitchers following fall practice. He is a tough competitor who can fill up the strike zone.
SUMMER (2005):
- Played this summer for the Indiana Bulls under coach Jon Wirth
- Hunter was member of the 2005 Sandlot World Series championship team
PREP:
- A three-year starter at Cathedral High School Fighting Irish under coach Rich Andriole
- Led his team to a 28-5 overall record and No. 5 state ranking
- Hunter was named the Indianapolis Star Super All-State team
- Two-time All-City Player of the Year (2004-05)
- Named to Indianapolis Star Tribune’s North Player of the Year
- Hunter led the Irish to the 2005 City, Sectional and Regional championships
- Cathedral advanced to the state semifinals of the Indiana state playoffs
- Drafted in the 18th round by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays

- Parents are Ray and Pam Hunter
- Has one older sister, Megan
- Tommy is also a two-time junior Olympic champion in judo
