A redshirt freshman infielder, Kyle Moore will battle for playing time at second base and shortstop this season.
SUMMER (2005):
- Played for the Nevada Griffons in the Jayhawk League
- The Griffons posted a 32-26 overall record to win the Jayhawk League and advance to the NBC World Series at Lawrence Dumont Stadium in Wichita, Kansas
- Moore played in 47 games and batted .233 (35-150) with one home run and 24 RBI. He also started 46 games
- Played on same team as Alabama’s Austin Hyatt and Spencer Pennington
FRESHMAN (2005):
- Redshirt.
PREP:
- A three-year letterman at Edgewood Academy for coach Bobby Carr
- He batted .501 as a prep senior
- A member of two AISA state championship baseball teams in 2002 and 2003
- Named to the AISA All-Tournament team following his sophomore and junior season
- Played for Team Alabama this past summer, selected by the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association
- As a member of Team Alabama, Moore played against the Canadian and US Junior Olympic National teams. The US Junior National team placed second in the Junior Pan Am games that summer
- Also a star quarterback on the football team
- He threw for more than 2,800 yards and a state record 38 TDs en route to being named an AISA All-State selection

- Parents are Bill Moore and Valerie Hawk
- Has one brother, Matt Moore and stepbrothers and stepsisters, Charlie Harris, Heather Harris, Caleb Hawk and Lauren Hawk
- His father, Bill, was a standout track and field star at Middle Tennessee State
- His brother, Matt, played baseball at Jacksonville State for legendary coach Rudy Abbott
