TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The defending Southeastern Conference champion Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team opened fall practice on Tuesday and head coach Jim Wells has announced the scrimmage dates for the next three weeks of team drills.
The Crimson Tide has been conducting individual workouts since Labor Day and now the team has come together for a three-week period, which will consist of 11 intrasquad games, with the first one coming this afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
"We will find our more about our team in the scrimmages," Alabama head coach Jim Wells said. "The game-type situations will give us a better idea than the individual drills. The scrimmages certainly tell you more about your team."
All practices begin at 2 p.m. (CST), are open to the public and admission is free.
