
Steele & Davidson Named Wooden Candidates

Created in 1976, the John R. Wooden Award is considered the top individual honor in college basketball. Previous winners have included Larry Bird (1979), Michael Jordan (1984), and Tim Duncan (1987), among others. In January the Wooden Award committee will release the midseason Top 30, and the national ballot will be released and voted upon in March. The 10-player Wooden Award All-American Team will be announced on March 27, and the winner will be announced on April 7 in a presentation at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
