released its third annual men’s basketball Coaches Presason All-SEC first and second teams on Monday.
Crimson Tide junior point guard Ronald Steele of Birmingham was a unanimous first team selection, along with Florida’s Joakim Noah, LSU’s Glen Davis and Tennessee’s Chris Lofton. Joining them on the first team was Steele’s Alabama teammate and the Tide’s lone senior, 6-10 center Jermareo Davidson, Florida’s Corey Brewer and Al Horford, and Vanderbilt’s Shan Foster.
Tide sophomore forward Richard Hendrix was voted Second Team All-SEC. He was joined on that list by Arkansas’s Darian Townes, Florida’s Taurean Green, Georgia’s Mike Mercer, Kentucky’s Randolph Morris, LSU’s Tasmin Mitchell, Mississippi State’s Jamont Gordon and Charles Rhodes, and South Carolina’s Tre’ Kelley.
The Coaches Preseason All-SEC teams are voted on by all 12 of the SEC Head Men's Basketball Coaches. No ties were broken and no predicted order of finish was made.
