Kelley Potter Earns SEC Volleyball Player of the Week

After a career weekend at the Bama Bash tournament last weekend, Alabama volleyball player Kelley Potter was named SEC Player of the Week by the league office.
Potter finished the weekend with 39 kills and finished the weekend with a .679 hitting percentage which earned her MVP honors for the tournament. The Edgewood, Ky. native also posted two of the top four hitting percentages in match in school history with a record .917 against Loyola (Chi.) and .875 against Oklahoma. Her game against OU helped the Crimson Tide post its all time best hitting percentage in a match with a .580.
The award was a career first for Potter and the first of the season for Alabama.
Potter leads the Tide (4-1) into action against South Alabama tonight at 7:00 in Mobile. Alabama travels to Milwaukee, Wis. this weekend for the UWM Invitational and will compete against Toledo, Northern Iowa and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
