Tide Softball Releases 2006 Schedule

The Alabama softball program released its 2006 schedule today and the Crimson Tide, as has become tradition, is not backing away from the stiff competition.
Bama will host two home tournaments this year while traveling to the Florida Atlantic Tournament and the prestigious KIA Classic in Fullerton, California. Alabama's home conference slate is loaded with heavy hitters this season as the team will host NCAA Tournament participants Florida, Super Regional performer Georgia and Women's College World Series participant Tennessee, not to mention long time softball rival LSU.
Once again, the Tide will honor each of its three seniors with their own day. Staci Ramsey Day will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4, the second day of the Crimson Classic which will feature Coastal Carolina, Drake and Ohio State along with the Tide. Dominique Accetturo Day will be held Saturday, March 11 when the Tide hosts South Carolina. And Stephanie VanBrakle will be honored on Saturday, March 25 when Alabama takes on the Tennessee Lady Vols.
